The Circular Design, Building and Construction Summit at 17. and 18. November in Berlin at the Vollgutlager was about the questions: What, how, when, why and where do we want to develop, plan, build and operate in the future? And which products, materials, processes and qualities should be used?
Under the moderation of Ann-Katrin Enz, Drees & Sommer, the Material Talk discussed the current and future use of sustainable materials.

Barbara Gries, Eller + Eller Architekten
Bettina Kallenbach, Holcim
Philipp Utz, Utzin Utz
Marc Blum, Zinkstahl
Markus Diem, EPEA

Questions were discussed:

Do sustainable building materials / products have to be expensive?

Who will own the buildings in the future? Who will own the individual components in the future? Could some kind of leasing model be applied here?

How can the transformation to more sustainability in construction and in the operation of buildings really succeed in the current turbulent times?

In the area of focus talks, an intensive and cross-sectoral exchange of innovations and solution approaches to Design the Future took place in small discussion rounds with a focus on a wide range of topics.

The Summit is a marketplace for shaping the future with a mix of congress, discussion rounds, impulses, workshops and exhibition.
