Visions become reality – Laying the foundation stone in Bengaluru, India

What we have so far depicted in visions and visualisations is now becoming reality in Bengaluru, the “new Silicon Valley” in India. The laying of the foundation stone for Siemens Healthineers’ Global Campus Bengaluru is a major milestone for all involved.

The foundation for the new Global Campus was laid by Bernd Montag, CEO Siemens Healthineers, on 15.03.2023.

Das Innovationszentrum wird ab 2025 in einem hochmodernen be accommodated on campus. This combines the research and
Development centre as well as medical imaging fabrication for approximately 5,500 employees.

In the 175.000 m² complex, the employees will be work interdisciplinary in research, development and prototyping.
Collaboration, communication, transparency and sustainability are the Guiding principles of this innovative working  environment. Seven in height staggered buildings grouped around a landscaped central courtyard, are connected on several levels by skywalks and skygardens. Human Encounters are given an inspiring stage in the architectural Landscape that is strongly interwoven with the outdoor space. Eller + Eller Architekten
won the international architectural competition and were awarded by Siemens Healthineers was commissioned with the general planning.

“With the new campus, we are now opening the next chapter to continue our success story in India: It is one of our largest investments worldwide and the largest to date in India, which plays an important role as a growth market for our company.”

Quote Bernd Montag, CEO Siemens Healthineers

The campus is intended to help drive the digitisation of healthcare worldwide, while also better serving the needs of emerging markets. In the future, and even today, there are major challenges to be mastered in the health sector worldwide. There is a shortage of skilled workers, the number of chronically ill people is increasing and many people do not have sufficient access to medical care.

We are pleased to be able to make a decisive contribution to the innovation and digitalisation of the global healthcare system with the planning and realisation of this campus.
